Episode 162: Lovely Little Shops (you’ll be dying to check out)

What You’ll Find

January Jane Shop (01:11)

Jana is the lovely lady behind January Jane and suggested the Humans of Heaven book on her site!

She even gave us a code (NOVEMBER30) that you can use for 10% off! (Also keep in mind, if your cart contains other preorder items from the St. Andrew's Presale event, it won't ship until November. If you’re just ordering the book and regular items, it will ship in about two weeks!).

You’ll love the beautiful vintage florals in her fiat collection (so be sure to check them out)!

Archer & Olive (02:47)

If you’re anything like Brittany (and a planning/organizing addict as well as a lover of pen and paper) you’ll find and fall in love with all kinds of notebooks, pens, accessories & planners on their website, but something they suggested to us when we reached out was their Quarterly Subscription Box that has a growing fan base!

Holy City Bow Co. (05:30)

Who doesn’t love a little girl with an adorable bow in her hair?! These bows will make you stop in your tracks and ask the mom where she got them. No joke.

They are SO beautiful and they’re handmade! You can find Holy City Bow Co. and all their beautiful bows online here.

Make sure you poke around and check out ALL their collections (if you’re seeing this right at release, they have some spooky bows that are boo-licious and would be perfect for fall)!

Wool N Flax Shop (07:02)

Wool N Flax Shop is the creator of the most beautifully handmade Waldorf style Catholic folk dolls.

From Nativity sets, miscarriage remembrance dolls, little saints (like my FAVORITE St. Lucy doll!) to different versions of Our Blessed Mother, and even the most huggable Jesus dolls. (There are so many great things…also, don’t forget to check out the Holy Family Folk Doll Sets!)

If you love that natural and handmade touch, you’ll love this shop…but keep an eye out! Things sell out quickly when a new drop happens!

Oak & Ever (09:05)

Another love of Brittany’s is well made toys. The kind that become a part of your family and go everywhere with you, that you eventually hand down to your grands even…simple, lovely, speak to your soul kind of toys.

Well…Oak & Ever carries the cutest sustainable toxin-free wooden toys and if you love to see creativity blossom in your kids…you’ll love all the beautiful options on this site.

Be a Heart Design (12:05)

Erica of Be A Heart Design has such a beautiful eye for lovely and you can see it come out in all her designs…plus you’ve heard us say it before, but there’s just something different about how moms think and design and I LOVE to see how her motherhood impacts her products.

There’s a warmth and joy to her pieces and we not only have many of them, but have gifted SO many for birthdays, holidays, and Sacraments.

You can find muslin blankets, toys, puzzles, dolls, books, party decor, and household items! Be careful though, once you fall in love with her party decor and decorating for Sacraments…you’ll never be able to go back.

Victoria Yahara Studio (14:43)

Sometimes you come across something so lovely you just can’t forget it. I feel that way about Victoria’s designs. They have such a timeless beauty to them, and if you love watching creators create…you’ll LOVE following her on Instagram as well.

I could spend hours watching her hand carve her linocuts and roll her rich blues and teal greens onto them before revealing the final print.

You can find her beautiful shop here. She does her best to keep Tea Towels and Prints in the shop. (FYI…The Tea Towels are only available in Canada, but the prints are available in both the USA & Canada).

Heart of Grace Co. (17:20)

I found this beautiful creator quite by accident—or really because of the Holy Spirit. Once I found her little shop on Etsy, Heart of Grace Co, I put in a big order to stock our gift basket with cards, bookmarks, prints, stickers, stationary, and washi tape!

Her design style just speaks to my soul, it’s so clean and delicate, and lovely…yet full of warmth. Plus, after putting her stickers on our water bottles and giving them as gifts, I can say she produces wonderful quality pieces in addition to the lovely designs.

Treasures from Jennifer (18:19)

This shop is incredible, but the family behind it is EVEN MORE incredible. I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the service and products from Treasures from Jennifer, and we have saved up to add many of her pieces to our homeschool as well as used them as Christmas gifts.

Jennifer said the Bow & Arrows are always their most popular Christmas item and if you’ve ever seen a boy exploring with a wood bow and arrow…you’ll know why and you won't be able to resist!

They also have personalized name puzzles that are super popular (especially for us moms with kids with unique names!)

Ivy City Co. (20:45)

Now, admittedly I’ve never purchased an Ivy City Co dress for myself, but my cousins and friends have them, and it’s been on my wish list for a while!

There’s just a special feeling that comes when you put on a dress you feel fabulous in and besides the quality…that is always what I hear about this company.

That they know and understand what fits women, and their quality is on. point. Not to mention their designs, I mean come on…just look at that lovely Christmas dress over there!

JoyFolie (21:57)

If you were on board for Ivy City Co. above, you’d absolutely LOVE Joyfolie’s dresses too! Their City of Roses collection has dresses that would make a family photographer swoon.

Our daughters (both Britt & Tiff) have dresses from Joyfolie and Tiff’s daughter recently bought the Braelyn dress in deep teal and it’s been perfect for every occasion!

They have beautiful collections of clothing for women, teens, and little girls…plus accessories, because who doesn’t love a perfectly placed belt?!

Shining Light Dolls (23:50)

If you’ve ever heard of strewing (a homeschool or learning technique) it’s all about casually—yet strategically—leaving invitations out for your kids to discover and explore on their own…well, I love doing this in our faith.

So if you come for a visit, you’ll find my faith strewn all about our home in a variety of ways…things like puzzles, books, dolls, cards, images, etc.!

Shining Light Dolls have some of our favorite items for strewing. In their shop, you can find children's toys, books, dolls, games, puzzles, free downloads, and more…AND did I mention they have a podcast?!

Pink Salt Riot (25:15)

I have had the pleasure of watching Pink Salt Riot grow over the years (as a long time lover Jill’s work since back in 2015!) and my goodness what a beautiful example of how the Holy Spirit brings beauty into the world through those who listen.

Pink Salt Riot carries a variety of Catholic stickers, jewelry, cards, tattoos, bookmarks, cards, AND Truthbands…okay…think back to our WWJD bands growing up…now click this link because they got a facelift and you need to see them!

If you’re even remotely a fan of speaking truth and beauty over your kids…these Truthbands for kids should be on your list for this year’s gifting season!

Peony & June Illustration (28:30)

I can never get enough of all these creators creating beautiful things and putting them into the world. It’s one of my greatest loves…to see, support, and gift lovely creatives! Peony & June Illustration is just such a creator.

They have a beautiful variety of products like washi tape, totes, notebooks, illustrations, wallets, and stickers that would make excellent gifts (for stockings, for yourself, for your kids…and of course, for your friends!)

Let's Make Art (30:05)

This company is one of my (Tiffany) absolute favorites! If you have any interest in watercolor, check out their site and make sure to follow them on IG and Youtube too! If you don’t believe you can do art…you will when you get done with their tutorials.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush in your life. You’ll have fun, AND you’ll be surprised just how good you really are. Honest!

Did we mention how much kids love their tutorials and kits (which the kits aren’t available right now…but they’ll come back…and while you wait you can enjoy ALL the free tutorials on their site and youtube!)

Maileg USA (32:42)

So…we took some liberties with this one (it IS our list after all), and maybe they’re not as small as small businesses go...but Maileg is home to one of the most treasured items in Brittany’s house…the Maileg MICE!

Get ready for stinking adorable mixed with generations of cherishing because their philosophy is a well-made, adorable toy that will last.

Check out Maileg USA to see the adorable collection of mice and so many other beautiful Danish-designed children’s toys!

P.S. Maileg is pronounced like 'My Lie'…if only we’d looked that up before podcasting!

Stella & Tide (37:00)

Not all jewelry is created equal…I think we all know when we see any creator with a real eye for their craft.

Stella & Tide have such a beautiful collection of dainty Catholic jewelry and of course it’s made with love…did we hear a yes please! From your own wish list to your gift list, we think some of these lovely pieces will speak to you!

You can find Stella & Tide online…and bonus…don’t skip on the pop-up because you can get 10% off your first purchase!

House of Joppa (38:27)

While we’re not sure how to pronounce it, we do love the beauty House of Joppa puts into the world!

The lovely momma behind the business is truly doing some beautiful work. You’ll immediately see how her eye for curating the most beautiful products from various artisans is truly a gift!

I can hardly look at the site without imagining them as gifts for this person or that, or where I would put them in my own home.

You can find Catholic home décor, jewelry, paper goods, graphics, candles, and gifts in her shop! (Psst…the pop-up on her site will send 10% off to your email if you sign up!)…did we say lovely, beautiful, or gorgeous enough yet?!

Seriously…visit House of Joppa and you’ll know.

Little Santi Designs (41:30)

Many of our mommas know how near and dear to my heart miscarriages are after losing four of our own precious babies. So this shop spoke to my heart immediately!

Little Santi has a beautiful and meaningful line of rings that are a tribute to the sacred journey of early pregnancy loss and miscarriage.

Inspired by the intimate story of their founder, who tenderly remembers her first child lost at 9 weeks, each ring holds the essence of a deeply personal connection.

While it might seem out of place on a holiday list, I couldn’t think of a more meaningful Christmas gift than to let a sweet momma know her precious baby is not forgotten.

Lilalune (44:35)

This warm and lovely creator makes patterns and dolls that make my girls squeal with glee and talk about how much they want to hug and play with them. When we reached out to Lilalune, Vanessa reached back and gave us two great suggestions from her shop…

The Ladybug is a favorite of many, and is wonderful for beginners and no sewing machine is needed.

Also, any of the workshops are a beautiful way to create a lovely doll for your own collection or a gift! …This is on my list to do!

Pippi Post (46:36)

If you’re even remotely a book lover you will fawn over all the adorable products Pippi Post has in their shop!

Quippy t-shirts, puzzles, mugs, and more. This is the perfect stop for any book lover on your list! Did I also mention they have courses?

My girls LOVED receiving their Procreate course as a gift last year. Plus…Pippi Post has a 20% off code (YAYPRIME20) that you can use on the site through October 7th!

The Little Catholic (47:35)

Remember how we talked about not all jewelry being made equal?! Ohhhh my goodness, I don’t know how it came about, but I’m a newer appreciator of lovely jewelry and elegant ways of wearing my faith and I want allllll her pieces.

They have such a simple, yet powerful design and message to them. If you love jewelry or know someone who appreciates beautifully handcrafted jewelry…take a peek at their whole collection, but especially their Holy Family Hearts Collection! The pieces are beautiful!

Catholic Family Crate (51:40)

Did you know the Catholic Family Crate is more than just a monthly subscription box?! They have a really neat collection of goods from games, activity sheets, puzzles, stickers, to education and home accessories…oh and greeting cards and journals!

See?! I told you it was more than just a subscription box…but don’t let that fool you into thinking the subscription isn’t amazing too!

It’s a wonderful gift, especially if you have that sweet relative who buys your kids a stocking full of candy each year…this makes a WAY better family gift (hint, hint)!
